On Being Green

Posted on 2007-Dec-7 at 03:20 - Post Comment

To call a person green - or accuse of being rather- is an informal way of saying someone is inexperienced, new at the job, naive even. Naive or a visionary?

When a green person enters a new field, he or she might take the world by storm. He or she might prove to be the right person on the position and succeed and affect / infect others.  -Hopefully, in a positive way.

Subsequently, the green person's success makes the opponents green too - green with envy - a different shade, an ugly green!- wishing they had what the green person has - talent for example. (Which they so easily can find in themselves too!)

Don't be ashamed if you're being green, new, without experience. Being green keeps you alive, up, up on your toes. Being green keeps you more focused and awake. Being green makes you humble to your work and makes you work harder. Don't be afraid to enter a new green field. You might succeed.
