• 2007-Dec-11 - Oct, 2007 Update: CS welcomes CS' own Mac Stanton!
Over the past months at CS, we've shared laughter and inspiration, gotten caught up in the whirlwind of romance and drama. October's meeting found our writers 'alive and kickin', and ready for action... so CS' own Mac Stanton answered the call! The group read aloud from Mac's recent screenplay, an action-adventure piece set against backdrop pf the American military.
After the read, Mac shared a little of his writing process, from idea to page. Then the group offered feedback. Mac's gritty realism sparked a brief but lively discussion about the impact and the importance of realistic dialogue, with regard to characterization. This is both timely and important, as this is doubtless an issue every writer grapples with.
A big CS shout out to Mac and everyone who participated. THANKS, MAC!
