The February meeting was a real treat, it was packed with so many offerings it was hard to get them all in!
We'd like to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to our February special guest. Prolific director, UNCC professor and USC alum Lon Bumgarner graciously joined us for a chat, entertaining us with his adventures in filmmaking. Lon was a delight to talk with and answered many of our burning questions. He also brought along some concrete resources, favorite texts, that he has collected and still finds useful today.
Lon reminded us all that we are in the midst of an evolutionary period of the medium of which we are all a part. Speaking to the relatively short history of American cinema, he was overheard saying, to that end, "Imagine if we were a hundred years into music..."
We can't thank you enough for sharing your time, talent and insights about the dream we all share: Creating feature films.
THANK YOU, LON!
