Don't bury me yet!

Running between the rain drops!

I was walking to the parking lot last night to get my car when it started to rain. All of a sudden people started dashing towards their cars and leaping over sidewalks and anything else that was in their way to get inside their car.

I thought to myself as I continued walking  towards my car in the same pace, hmm, let me see, it's raining, even if I run I'm still gonna get wet but, at least I'll make it to my car without killing myself. Check out this scenario: This is what kills me,  some dude named Bobby starts to run towards his car, because it's starts to rain and he doesn't want to get his fat head wet, and just before he gets to his car he slips on the ground, he'll than be laying on the ground, probably in a lot of pain, probably with a broken leg, probably crushed his cellphone that was in his back pocket, and worst of all the freaking rain he was trying to avoid is now pouring down on him. A few people will leap over him to get to thier car but he might find someone who will help his sorry ass by covering his head with an umbrella. So Bobby's head is now sheltered from the rain, until the ambulance comes,  but what about the rest of his body, it'll be soak! Than due to a broken leg he'll have to stay home for a few days, missing days of work he can't even afford, his electricty will eventually be turned off, and the landlord will be trying to knock his door down cause he can't pay the rent. Whew!!! Seems to me like Bobby should have just strolled to his car instead of trying to dash in between the raindrops.

That's why I sing "Raindrops keep falling on my head, but that doesn't mean..."

The Horns of Pleasure & Pain

Jaylow,

Your rain story was dour as the drizzle you were in. I thought, all he did was choose to run in the rain. You chose to walk. You seemed only to care about your choice after comparing it to his. I felt no pleasure for you peacefully strolling amidst the rain drops because there wasn't any; and I didn't feel sorry for Bobby. His misfortunes were just a figment of your imagination. And that seemed to be an expression of some pain of yours to destroy the guy not doing it your way.

Like you, I took pleasure in how far you took his pain. Falling, broken phones, broken legs, power outages, lost wages, and rising debt. The more pleasure you took describing his pain, the less pleasure you seemed to take walking in the rain. Interesting.

The melody of hearing your version of B.J. Thomas' song resonated like Malcolm MacDowel's rendition of "Singing in the Rain" in another dour story.

I love dour and drizzle, pleasure and pain.

I like your thinking. It's alot like mine.

After he falls.....another direction it could go....
Bobby and his wife are having marital trouble. Bobby was on his way to meet his wife at counseling. Due to being knocked out by the fall, he can't make it. While he is in the hospital his wife moves out (taking all furniture.etc)
