Screenwriter/Poet/Artist

A fresh innovative outlook with writing any fictional to comical story.

Ranging through Africa, America and into Europe, the world is but a spinning top - one never knows when it will stop!

I enjoy creating screenplays that most people will relate to and perhaps even enjoy a warm hearty laugh in the process.  Currently I am working with my latest project which I know all the viewers could enjoy seeing. Slightly magical, but mostly funny.

I have however written other screenplays and would love to talk with you about them if you should be interested to learn more about me.  Send me an e-mail and we could become "cyberpals", I look forward to hearing from you.

Afri Chaser

The Greatchaser is on a short holiday break and has not forgotten to take his notepad with him.Good stories sometimes comes from strange places and from strange people , that is why  is sometimes advisable to just equip yourself with a laptop and a notepad and just loose yourself to the strange world where nobody knows you. This time,am hibernating somewhere in Africa with all my ears to the ground.Am very much fascinated by the way African films are coming up but also a writer has always been fascinated by the African stories, history and effects our modern world has on this cultural rich continent.

Films like the The last King of Scotland has proved that with just one name,a recognised figure whether in a positive or a negative way,a good script plus a good cast you will come out with a good movie and nobody will feel cheated spending his money for a ticket and an hour plus in a theater.

The script am working on,also has an African side of the story.I dont know yet how deep i want to go there or i just want to to give it an African  tint, but so far its sounding very interesting and am very happy with the way the story is shaping up.More juice on this later.

Ofcos,I will try and keep my blogs up to date, while still on the move because i want to share my ideas and my travelling experineces with the other  writers. The down size of of being on the move is that  you are not always connected ,just like they say,you can't have them all.

Catch you soon,in the mean time, just feed my chick for me.

Irrelevant Short stories/ Songs

I like short stories, not fairy tales

You know those short, funny stories sometimes without any relevancy in them but still funny? Those kinds.I write them too and sometimes i would let somebody else read them just to check their reaction. I would tell just by the first reaction whether that story is funny or not. Some people would just laugh and say it  sounds funny and some would just shove it back to me and say that they have no idea what to think. And they are right because that is what some stories are about. Not know what to think but keep you thinking. The stories are irrelevant and has no meaning at all but they have a certain concept. For example:

 Living Someone else's dream

The only table in the middle of the room was turned upside down and the inside was turned outside.

Someone was trying to wear a pair of pants which were too tight to fit.

The questions had no answers, the riddles were not unfolded because they were not yet told.

"Which one of you is Mr Man"? Asked a stranger.

He is trying to be Mr Man or...is he Mr Man already?

He was still resting on the table which was still turned upside down and the inside was still outside and the pants were still too tight to fit.

A stranger's hand, warm and tender stretched and reached out from the dark side of the room.

He recognised this hand. He reached out, pulled himself up.

He stood up, the table stood upright, the outside became inside and the pants fitted well. He recalled....uhh!!

"I am Mr Man and this is my dream"

He rested his head on the strangers chest, listening to the pounding of her heartbeat. He fell asleep thinking....

Could it be that she...?

Is it that she...?

Is she...?

She.....ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Donkey Riding

Were you ever in Quebec
Stowing timber on the deck
Where there's a king with a golden crown
Riding on a donkey?

   Refrain
   Hey! Ho! Away we go!
   Donkey riding, donkey riding
   Hey! Ho! Away we go!
   Riding on a donkey.

Were you ever off the Horn
Where it's always fine and warm
Seeing the Lion and the Unicorn
Riding on a donkey?

Were you ever in Cardiff Bay
Where the folks all shout, "Hurray!
Here comes John with his three month's pay!"
Riding on a donkey.

Were you ever in Miramichi
Where you tie up to a tree
And the skeeters do bite we
Ridin' on a donkey?

Ironic!!!!!!!!!!

A week ago,a friend of mine and i went to Amsterdam for a weekend hangout.

Amsterdam is one of my favourite cities in Europe because its very international and very cultural. There is alot to do in Amsterdam and people are very nice and helpful.Make sure though that you have ironed the little Dutch because people around don't like bullshitting in those funny foreign languages.I guess they are just proud of their small country and their nice torelant culture.

As we stroled down Kalverstraat (Kalverstreet),my favourite and the busiest street in Amsterdam,we came across this billboard poster soem fair they call Highlife or Blowers fair. The last one intrigued our imagination enticing us into wanting to know what really like to live a Highlife. We hopped a tram feeling our appetite rising as we clossed by our halt.

"Blowes fair", is this what this is all about? I got myself asking since i couldn't apprehend how soemthing which is illegal to posses or use, can be ligally exibited and everybody is Okay with that.I thought i really missed a point untill one guy, holding a roll of joint between his front teeth, proudly foung sometimes to explain to me how things are weaved together. The shit is legal to use but illegal to deal and the dealers are not allowed to import, export or even transport it and not even licensed to sell it but are in unexplainable funny way allowed to sell it as long as they pay taxes.

My guy took along drag from his joint and dashed behind the smoke leaving me trying to crack what he had just told me.Eh,i couldn't but, it seamed to me,obviously that i was not the only one.

Getting high,if you really enjoy getting high, give it a tryout if you really are a virgin,in that area or just hang around and experience what the proffesional do.  I mean if you are, just like myself, a vrigin in this or don't fit in any of these categories.

Blowing and getting High is part of the attraction in this show but are also fascinating  demonstartions by the coffeeshop runners showing the handy side of this Highlife business and its versatile craftsmanship other than just blowing and get Stupid. Think about joint rolling, the main attraction of the day and my favourite. Who didn't  think rolling a piece Rizler with some green staff in it would mean any big deal to anyone was wrong. Come on,i can roll a 30 inch' long joint in half a minute and dont drop a seed of my product or i can roll the longer and the tighter in 20 sec and bit the record of the Chic next cabin. Those were just my imaginations and the more i tried i ended up with a flat empty torn out Rizler in my hand .Bummer ! but whatever the case the 25 old Chic diserved the title. They crowned her Miss Highlife 2007.

It was for an amusement and i went home feeling wiser and higher in my own way, something which diserved to be bloged about.Though,i couoldn't stop thinking..don't we live in an Ironic world?

In some countries if they catch you concealing an inch long joint, they will send you to Sing sing for a countable number of years to sobber up.They won't even care if you were holding it for your buddy who had just stepped into jon. But here I am,throwing my charisma around with a 12 inch' long joint between my fingers and they crown me Miss Highlife.Somebody Knock me down, but this is Ironic!!!

By the way..if you happen to be in Amsterdam and you are looking for somewhere to buy a nice cup of coffee, don't go to those they call coffeeshops here. You might end up getting a cup of coffee but coffee shops in Amsterdam are mainly for selling Weed,Joint,Pot or whatever the name you baptise it in your area.

Finish your coffee and come out smelling like a Weed Chimney,LOL

Time sharing

It's been a while since i started 'blogging",as i would call it since it doesn't seem to go nowhere.

Am a starter in screen writting, writting in between my day time job. That can be tough sometimes, to find time for myself in a quite corner and do some writting. Does that happens to you screen writers? i mean the one who are also trying to fill in. Doesn't time really flies? Sometimes i have this great idea i want to put on a paper before it evaporates, through my skull and even before i even sit down and get my note book, it's time to go again. What?

OK,am also having a problem with my character. I have the story worked out and am getting to know my character better and better every day but when i get to the point in my script where i introduce my character i dont seem to give it the right approach. I got stuck which one to introduce first: a protagonist or antagonist? Is there a proper theory to this?

The road to screenwritting

Am just struggling down the road of screenwritting, pretty broad and full of endless ideas, my pen as a walking cane in hand, probing into all obstacles. I feel i can see the road ahead but before i regain back my  vision, i think i'll need all the guidance i can get from all the good screenwritters out there.

How and where do i start telling these good stories into scripts?

Paul Marving

I have been away for a while. Just like i mentioned earlier, it's a long way, the screanwritting way. I took it and i've been away looking for new materials, ideas, stories and motivation. I have my Spec ready and am hoping to have it read soon. Who knows, i might soon receicve that exciting phone call and find myself in a Pitching room. Then i will say, Well Done Lone guy, You did this time.

But i will make sure my work appear here because i would like other people to read it, correct me, teach or even comment if i won't need any of those.

I have been reading many important informations about screanwritting and am sure they have helped me alot in finding the rethym, style and in structuring my work. I would say thank to the people who contribute to that, their informations means alot to the screanwriter who have never have their work produced or even read for that matter. It's a great preledge to have those kind of people with that much generocity because i'am sure and i know many people will agree with me but Writing is not always that fun or easy.

Am  now toiling up with a foreign script. I mean, it has alot of foreign language in it's dialohue and am facing much doubts on deciding whether i do it all in English and add PARENTHETICALS or i just write it in that language anyway and worry about translating later. That i have to find out myself, i have enough time, since the spec is still on it's analyzing  phase.
