Go Forth and Procreate

This is a site where I can chew through the challenges and dilemmas of screenwriting. It is hoped I will post some of my writing, share ideas with others and gain insight into how to improve and how to get published.

New horizons

Well, after shelving my screenplay until the summer holidays, I have another challenge - a novel in a month. JulWriMo is the latest monthly novel writing competitions, which I will probably not meet the deadline, but then again, I might!

Whoa! That sounds even optimistic for me!

Want to make the novel sound screenplayish, so that I can cut corners later.....Dialogue dialogue dialogue...

Why a month?

Chalkie,

Robert here. I don't get why you're imposing this month thing on your writing. If you got 75 pages into a 1st draft of a script, then you owe it to your effort to see it through. Come to an end, any end before you move onto another trip. That's my thinking.

agree

finish first what you started. you have accomplished some 60% on your screenplay. allow yourself to get to 100%. You will only feel much better.

I.
