2006-May-16 - First Post

I am new to this community and just felt a friendly hello was in order. A little about myself:

I live in Denver Colorado. I currently work in post production. During my brief 4 year career I have become a taperoom supervisor, junior editor, DVD authorer/compressionist and am currently listed as a colorist at my company. I still manage to wear all of the previous hats however. Over the summers here I am also a camera operator(with some directing experience)at two large concert venues here for live video assist. I am currently looking into the markets of LA and NYC as I would like to get back into production full time. If you've made it this far thank you for taking time out of your day to learn a little about me.

First, I would like to say that it is interesting to come across a profile introduction of someone who resides here in the Mile High City. Moreover, one who is actively in the arts of movie production. I am interested in learning more about your duties as a tape-room supervisor and your editing capabilities as I have written a screenplay that may need editing. In addition, I have written several novels and novelettes among other compositions that I have not keenly pushed for publication.

Currently my art is comatose in my family room collecting dust. I aim to revive them someday; someday soon before I am totally disabled to do more. I am just troubled and disappointed that there are movies that continue to hit the big screen which are similar to my own screenplay and/or movies with plots that I have hinted upon.

Again, it is nice to see a fellow Coloradian.

Lastly, I wish you luck in your endeavors in the States that seem to be most productive in the arts.
