2006-Sep-6 - WOW - My anti-productivity.

Okay, I don't know if any of the rest of you writers have played or are interested in these things they call MMORPG's or Massivly Multi-Player Online Roleplaying Games, such as World of Warcraft... but I did, and still kind of do.

And it killed my productivity. I recently had a sutiation where my friends joined a 'guild', a group of hard core serious gamer geeks, and I didn't qualify to join, so now I rarely get to see them in the game. But the good news is, since I couldn't join up with my pals last night I got a serious bump of writting done. :)

Moral of the story, videogames bad, writting good. :)

I know exactly what you mean. The games do indeed kill productivity whilst you're playing them. But if you're anything like me I bet every now and again some of your writing is inspired by them.
