Worked today
| I actually started working on my script again today. The odd things is it was much easier with the girls sittingbeside me playing than me sitting alone by myself. Didn't get a whole lot done, just two pages or so, but it was on akey scene that's been sitting there collecting dust for 5 months. So 2 is better than none. Hope to do it again tomorrow. Now I hust need to get it done, proofed, sent into a few contest, and hopefullyget an agent...wish upon wish!!!! |

What are you prepared to do?
A dying Jimy Malone asks Eliott Ness in, "The Untouchables". You have to ask yourself that question every time you think you don't want to write or can't. Two pages of a scene that's been sitting for (5 months?) is just not enough.
We're all no more than hobbyists on this blog; otherwise we'd be on other blogs networking with paid writers finegalling job leads. That's fine. I accept my hobbyist status, because it affords me time and freedom to craft my stories my way w/o dead lines or bullshit. But those stories, so painfully crafted, worked and reworked, are to be launched like explorer gallions in the seas of contests and unsolicited email queries to production co.s.
Otherwise, what's the point? I've been writing my first script four years now. It's gone through at least five drafts, been in six contests so far. Done OK; but needs more work. And I got Benderspink to accept a copy of the lst draft in June (dead end); but I got it there. If it weren't for my judgement, lack of success, and love for this particular story I'd be soliciting companies online daily (of that I have a list of those that accept cold calls).
You have to write every day, and more than two pages. Write.
