Need I say more?

Okay. I've view too many majors and minors yesterday in the SUNY Potsdam Catalog of 2006 - 2008. I know that Art Studio is the major that I will go for. There are two minors that I want to take along with the Art Studio Major, but I'll be picking one to ease my pain and to concentrate. The first minor is Film Studies and the second minor is Design in Technical Theatre. I know a lot about Film because I've taken a Film History I and II course from 2003 thru 2004 back in high school. I still have the notes in the Bronx. I'm not kidding. lol!

That's part one. Part two is coming up next.

I've made my choice on which minor I will go for: Design in Technical Theatre. I wanted to be behind the scenes, not in front of it...unless if it was an interview about a particular play. (lol!) I know a lot about film, like I've said before, so I won't go for that one in Potsdam. This minor will probably help me with grabbing future knowledge of TV Production, I hope. I've researched that minor's courses and they're awesome. Wish me luck on that one, including the Art Studio Major.

I've worked in Art Direction, filling out shooting permits, carrying equipment with the DP. It was from March 31st, April 1st, and April 8th. Those were the shooting days. Anyways, here's the finished video that the producer have sent me by email.

Process in...
Current mood: awake
Category: Blogging

I'm going to bed within the next few minutes (I was reading two of my Art History books - 3 chapters), but first, here's my update. I got a chance to print out the TV Production Handbook online. It's very useful and have a lot of info. A good start for beginners. I'm an intermediate with Film but a beginner with Television. I mean, I can come up with ideas and turn them into treatements immediately, but I need the training to go a lot further with it. I figure that I will start working in Public Access channels in New York City and receiving training from them, while continuing networking with people in the Film/TV Industry. It's easier that way, you know.

Last month, I said that I want to Freelance as a TV Director, having more than 300 Live TV Directing hours. Well, guess what people? I mean that. "The Query" production gave me something more than just experience like other (run by professionals) productions I took part in: A Reality Check. I've stayed on top of my game in the production though. It's crazy, but at the end - it was all worth it. To stay on top of the game is a hard thing to do, but at the end - every little thing is worth having.

Anyways, I'm in the process of writing a short or feature script to send out in case if I want to film in New York City. If I want to become a TV Director, I rather take trips to Live Tapings of Award Shows, special events and so on (example: fundraisers), and directing TV pilots that will soon hit to Series. I would make things happen.

Before I log off, here's my rant for today:
If you don't like it, too bad. it's my future, not yours, fool! No one should tell me what the fuck I should do with my life. Be seriously careful about what you say about me...cuz it's not gonna be a pretty sight. lol lol lol lol lol lol

"THE QUERY" production: 08/04/2006 - 08/06/2006

If anybody sees "Rock the Paint", I met that film's producer, Dallas Brennen 3 days before the production of "The Query" started. He wrote a short film called The Query and gets lisa milinazzo to direct it. My position: Art assistant in the Art Department. My producion designer Vanessa was my leader. if i don't do anything she says, she gets on my ass about that. overall, i learned a lot from her. The production went well, i beleve. It was really fun, but at the same time really hectic. I left at 7PM cuz I don't wanna get home really late. On my last 2 hours before leaving the crew an damn good impression of me, I cleaned out vanessa's 3 tool boxes from the art department and placed the supplies in order. she thanked me.  The best part is: I get to take home some black matboards, a framed sill life painting, and a spray mount from my production designer. Before I left, I went upstairs and thanked them so much for giving me the experience to work with them. They all took turns shaking my hand and one of the crew members was trying to sing "Cecelia" from Simon & Garfunkel. She missed her lines and I bust out laughing really hard, so did the rest of the people.

It will be my last internship...till next summer of 2007.

I think my future occupations in the film/television/theatre industry would be:

Television - Director (Freelance) for live television programs, Cameraperson, Assistant Director

Film - Scenic Artist, Storyboard Artist, Cameraperson, Co-Producer

Theatre - Scenic Artist

...And yes, i know what to do with the suff vanessa gave me. I just gave my mom the painting yesterday. She really loved it dearly. Tomorrow, I am going to give her my pen/oil pastel artwork I made this afternoon and a poem that comes with it. I used the spray mount to mount them on the matboard. It looks awesome! BTW, her 47th birthday is tomorrow.

This short documentary is about my stepdad and his life at home after spending 20 years in prison at Upstate NY. It is currently in pre-production. All I need is a camera and other video equipment for myself so I can get this done before going to Potsdam on August 21, 2006.

Red Scorpion Films is a production company in the process of being formed. If anybody is from NYC, NY and is interested in making videos with somebody, email me. If you know me or my name from somewhere, respond if you want to. I'm currently writing a short documentary about my stepdad's life at home after spending 20 years in prison. It includes stories on his life in the streets in Yonkers, NY. The title of the short film is: "A Return to Life".
