Krome - Humanity just got an upgrade (Explanation)

My creativity bursts out in many forms. To propel my scriptwriting along I like to use visuals, concept sketches and the like. It helps me get a real feel for my characters. I suppose it's a side-effect of having been a roleplayer for so many years.

Well, I substituted the tunnel pic of the template for a fake movie poster of my current work. It's there to add a personal feel to my blog, hopefully draw interest, and to help give me a kick up the backside so I can get some writing done :P

Looking for an angle

There's a scene in my mind, I'm desperate to put it onto paper but it's like grabbing for a bar of soap in a barrel of eels...hmm, interesting metaphor...anyway...To help me visualise things a little better I've decided to pause, take a breath and create a graphic of my protagonist "Krome". I think I'll swap out the tunnel graphic at the top of my blog for it when I'm done.

Then I can get back to writing having vented a frustration.

Once again, I hopes this will make sense once you see the graphic.

It seems I have located a new-found energy. I rattled off 6 different versions of the logline for my script 'Krome' this morning, thing is, I'm as picky as ever so I didn't like any of them :P

Not a problem, it's all good practice.

Going back through it all I'm now happy with the inciting incident, although I think it may have emerged a little too soon; scene 2 act 1. No matter, I want the audience to get to know my main character's alter ego rather than become attached to her former life, so maybe I've made the job easier for myself by removing the mundane early on. Ah, this probably makes no sense to anyone who's reading this :) It's okay, if I can vent by typing this in-between working on the script then it'll at least keep my fingers excercised :D

New Arrival

Well, I hit the ground running. This week, a first for me, I've resolved to work on my script idea for Krome. It only took me 17 years!!

Who is this babbling fool? You ask. I'm just a country boy, shoved into the big city, longing for the day I return to greener pastures. But I've always had a love of all things sci-fi and fantasy. I'm not successful, not even special, I don't presume to have any outstanding qualities, but the only area where I've had any real creative success has been in TV and film, and even that has been at 'Tinkering' level.

I was a props maker for a short time, having worked on 'Star Hyke', a T.V series that seems as though it will never hit the screen (Not that it isn't good, they're just having distribution problems) as well as an action horror 'Soul Searcher'...with mixed personal success.

Now I'm trying to tap my own creativity by scriptwriting. It's going quite well, with good response from those around me...but I shan't count my chickens just yet.

Anyhoo, watch this space, or not...after all, we're all capable of independant thought :D
