Urban Mediamakers Film Festival (UMFF)

Urban Mediamakers Film Festival (UMFF) takes place annually in October in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 2001, the three-day festival continues the strong Atlanta vibe that encompasses the city's signature of being culturally diverse, bringing 1,000+ minutes of independent film screenings from around the world. UMFF honors winning festival filmmakers, as well as Georgians and national artists that are making a mark on the independent film community. The UMFF offers independent film screenings with competitions for the best-of-the-best: Student Film (High School and College Categories), Music Video, Short Film Screenplay, Short Film, Animation, Documentary, Feature Film, Television Pilot, and Audience Choice Award. Cash and prizes in competition categories.The festival also includes a Writer's Row for authors, Creativity Alley (vendor exhibition), networking, workshops, panels, plus independent filmmaking case studies, and the Urban Mediamakers Awards Show and Fundraiser.
